Mediocre Love?

I just came across this quote and I love it. I believe this is absolutely true. Life is too short to have a mediocre love. What do you think?

Your Journey, Your Story!

Each one of us is given this amazing journey of life. It is up to us to be open to what’s in store. Some of which we can control, some of which we can’t. We need to just believe & let go as our precious story unfolds. ~Angela Cirrone

This is Your Life, OWN it!

“When you stop chasing the wrong things you give the right things a chance to catch you.” -unknown

Have you every hit a point in your life where you feel lost? Do you feel like you are searching for something but just don’t know what and where it is? If you have, I think this is completely normal. I truly believe that we need to stop searching sometimes and let the universe guide us.

The things that are most important to remember when you hit this point in your life are:

  • Stay true to yourself – Do not change who you are for someone or something.
  • Be honest with yourself – Listen to your gut. If it doesn’t feel right it probably isn’t so don’t force it.
  • Have patience – Just because things are happening today, doesn’t mean they won’t tomorrow.
  • Stay positive – Believe in yourself, stay positive and have hope.
  • Continually improve yourself – Whether it’s going to the gym, reading, talking with friends, taking classes, it’s important to grow and learn. Expand your mind and it will help open your heart too.
  • Limit the pity parties – We all have them. It is totally understandable especially if you are feeling like things are happening for you, but limit them. If you start to feel bad for yourself, give yourself a time limit to feel that way. Then push yourself to get out and change that focus. No need to get stuck in a rut of feeling bad for yourself. This is your life, OWN it!

There are two types of Pain in this world: Pain that hurts you, and Pain that changes you!  - Unknown

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you. – Walt Disney

Readjusting is a painful process, but most of us need it at one time or another. - Arthur Christopher Benson

Trust Your Gut

I have been going through a transformation of sorts. This has been a time for me to reflect on who I am and how I got to the place I have. One of the biggest revelations for me is to follow my intuition. If something doesn’t feel right, make a change. Don’t sit there hoping you will feel differently. Trust your gut. It knows more than you think it does.

20120615-001151.jpg
My gut has been telling me something for a while but logically I didn’t want to accept it. I thought I would eventually feel or see something to make the situation right. Or what I thought was right. But it wasn’t right. This is where being logical hurts me. I don’t let myself feel. I live my life so black and white or right or wrong sometimes that I don’t tap into my emotions. I feel like huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that I have accepted and trusted my gut.
Do you trust your gut or intuition? How do you allow yourself to feel? Please share your story with me & others. We all could learn from it!
Much love! ~Ang <;3

Let Go & Just Live

I have been meaning to write a blog for a while but you know how it goes. We put things off until tomorrow and then you get busy and think to yourself, I’ll get to it. So I decided that I can’t wait until tomorrow anymore, I need to do it now even if it is just a small post.

There are so many things that go through my mind that I want to share! I know I can’t share them all in one post so I will try to make more of an effort to post regularly and share my thoughts.

First of all, I want to thank you all for supporting me and Be Happy Stay Happy! I love the feedback I get from Facebook Fans! The tidbits of inspiration that you get from reading a quote or seeing a picture on there, brings me inspiration to keep going! You motivate me!

My thought of today is Let it Go & Just Live. Some of us tend to focus so much on what’s next & why, that we forget about now. We keep trying to figure things out, understand why something happened, or why someone treated us the way they did. Do you ever do this? Do you sit there and over-analyze a conversation you had with someone? You end up analyzing it so much that none of it makes sense and you feel worse. Well, I have seen some friends doing this lately and it gets them no where. All they do is waste their precious time trying to look for answers.

We need to learn that we may not understand someone or something and that’s ok. It’s ok to let things go and accept the fact that people are the way they are. It doesn’t make them bad people it makes them different from you. Different is ok, actually it’s better than ok! If we all thought the same things or acted the same way, life would be boring.

Take a look at the picture above. Visualize the problem you have as a balloon. When you need to let something go, visualize letting go of the balloon and watching it peacefully drift away. Take a deep breath and remember the Serenity Prayer. Sit back and try to let it go and just live!

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Learn the difference… Much love, ~Ang ♥

Feeling Overwhelmed?

You are not alone.

Ever have a day where you feel like your world is crashing in on you?  If not, good for you! If you are like the majority of us that do, how do you handle it?

It is not easy sometimes to find your way out of those moments. It is important to express your feelings and talk to someone if you can. You may feel that you are the only one out there that has it bad, but the truth is there is probably someone worse off than you. You need to stop and put your problems in perspective. On the grand scheme of things, the way you are feeling is probably because a bunch of little things are hitting you all at once. If you break things down and look at each individual problem on its own it may be easier to handle.

Next time you have a moment like this, stop yourself, take a deep breath and say “I can handle this.” Try to look at what is bothering you in a logical manner. (I know this is difficult when your emotions take over.) If you can think about things logically, break down your issues into little segments and attack one at a time. Trying to deal with everything at once, is when you get overwhelmed and freeze.

Once you break things down, take a moment and praise yourself for taking the first step. If that’s all you can handle for that moment, stop. It’s ok to take baby steps. I know that most of us want instant gratification, but that is not reality. We need to realize that things take time and we accomplish more when we take that time.

I believe strongly in self talk. You need to tell yourself you are doing the best you can. Remind yourself to breathe and KNOW that this overwhelming feeling is just temporary.

Success – Whatever it Takes!

Here is a blog that a friend of mine wrote about me! I wanted to share it with you because everybody takes commitment to a different level. For me, I had a tattoo put on my wrist to remind me often of Serenity. Reblogged from: Success – Whatever it Takes!

If you’re a Seinfeld fan, then you know about George’s father trying to calm himself with the “Serenity Now” mantra. It didn’t work for him because he was the perennial nut-job and nothing would change his character.

If you never knew about George’s father, it doesn’t matter.  The word Serenity itself is calming – no harsh sounds.  My friend Angela who is pretty hip – as well as beautiful – has some body art and it looks great on her.  One tattoo that really caught my eye was the word “Serenity” inked on her wrist.

When I asked her why, she said that for her, seeing the word “Serenity” written there, helped her to calm herself when she was feeling crazed.  It was a very personal reminder for her to breathe, think good thoughts, be positive, and generally feel good about herself and her life.

Now, for most of us, a simple post-it on the fridge, or on the laptop, would serve the purpose, but not for my Angela.  She needed to have it inscribed on her body so she could really “feel” it when she needed to.  Some might call this extreme, I call it commitment.

When you are truly committed to something you believe in, having some way to remind yourself that you deeply care about it, someway to remember that you care about it, is a very positive thing.  Maybe it’s a photo, maybe it’s a friend reminding you, maybe it’s an alert on your phone. Maybe it’s a physical thing, like Angela. Whatever works for you! It really is important to have a meaningful way of reminding yourself, consciously, that you care.

Commitment is a beautiful thing; IT’S WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL. Use whatever tools you need to access your personal commitment.  It couldn’t hurt! ♦ Ruth

“There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.” ― Kenneth H. Blanchard
